How to Make Cold Email Work

There are 2 types of people:

  1. Those not sending any cold emails to get clients

  2. Those sending cold emails to get clients, but getting zero results

So I'm going to walk you through an exhaustive reasoning as to why you might not be getting any clients from your cold email campaigns.

#1: You Have a Bad Offer

You are trying to sell something with no demand.

You have no sales argument.

No value proposition.

There is zero logical reason why somebody should work with you - there no firepower behind your offer to really invoke some persuasion.

#2: Your Targeting is Off

Maybe your offer is okay (most of the time not) - but you're still not getting results.

It might be that you're just targeting the wrong people.

You didn't build your list correctly, so everybody getting your messages is a completely irrelevant audience.

#3: You Have a Bad Scripts

You're writing your script like an ad.

You don't understand your audience's pain points.

You don't know what strategy or angle to approach people.

Your script looks like spam and gets trashed immediately.

#4: You Look Like a Scammer

You have no social presence online & it's impossible to find anything out about you.

You're a ghost & have nothing of value to consume to put their minds at ease.

#5: You're not Responding Fast Enough

You're letting interested leads slip through the cracks.

You don't have any systems in place to make sure this gets tracked & taken care of.

Warm leads are left hanging & you lose the opportunities.

This compounds over time & results in you losing multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars of revenue.

#6: Your Deliverability is Bad

You haven't set up the tech correctly and none of your emails are actually being delivered.

You're getting too many bounces or you're going straight to spam.

Nobody even reads what you say in the first place because you don't even show up.

#7: You're Not Following Up

Somebody responds to you. You respond back. Then nothing.

You don't have systems in place to track when this happens. So you never have any follow up in place.

You lose dozens of deals.

Everybody wants an "Automated" acquisition system. Nobody wants to invest the time or money into learning how to make automated systems.

You don't just spin up the standard cold email software and start slinging deals left and right.

"Just send a bunch of cold emails" is a 2022 marketing tactic that doesn't work anymore.
